From my perspective, DJs have taken on some of the responsibilities of A&R, as they are the ones putting people onto new records and finding emerging talent. It's important to recognize that the landscape of the music industry has evolved, and various individuals and roles contribute to the discovery and promotion of new artists. DJs, with their influence and ability to curate music, can indeed play a significant part in identifying talent and breaking new records. By combining my DJ expertise with my passion for artist development, I am taking on the role of an A&R figure in my own right.
